I did this shoot a while back but only got around to processing them now.

Anyway, we had it for one more day until it had to be shipped back out to cali for R&T or whoever got it next. So I wanted to take it out to the dry lake beds.

I was supposed to only do some static shots but couldn't resist and decided to have some epic awd-drifting fun lol.

Enjoy the pictures!

And for anyone thats interested I have behind the scenes commentary for each picture on my blog. I go into nerdy detail about how and why I took each shot. Just thought I'd give a heads up. You can see it here.

Thanks for looking!

Great pictures! Excellent angles, nice light (clouds were helping, looks like), good color, and some nice editing touches as well.

sweetness...

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I'm actually being flown out to SF on Saturday to do a shoot of a Polizia Superleggera. I also got a highly modified GT3-RS to come along so I could do a little chase scene.

Does anyone have input on locations? It's going to be near belmont. I haven't been to SF in over 10 yrs so any input would be great.

Also if anyone is familiar with DSLR video filming and can offer me tips that'd be great as well. Thanks

Just a thought to consider (which I'm sure the OP is already WELL aware of), most if not all of those places would require a permit and/or release to do a commercial shoot.

Wish I saw this sooner. But man the overcast skies were an absolute nightmare. It made everything look completely white skies with zero detail is a photographers worse case scenario. We ended up heading towards belmont and halfmoon bay. The drive there was simply incredible breathtaking. To make matters worse, I was in charge of the lambo superleggera, f360 spyder, SS camaro, and supercharged range rover not to mention a model and a stylist too. Having to coordinate the entire convoy of cars on tiny back roads through the hills and along the cliffs all while trying to shoot video and static shots was extremely difficult to say the least.

However, after a couple hrs of shooting I got everything under control and heres a little teaser from yesterday :

Tom (Polizia owner) flew me out to SF to shoot his car. I was the only photographer that a day and instead did a chase scene and photoshoot with the Polizia hunting down a SS Camaro (above) and a Ferrari 360 Spyder.

I haven't met Kirby but have only heard great things about him. He does photography for fun and made his money else where (I think producing video games?) But Tom is also a really awesome guy and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him last weekend.
