Sorry for the (dumb)question, does this setup allow you to stream music via bluetooth from your phone as well?

Yes, Bluetooth is the main source of audio, but I installed a "Y" cable to allow an "aux" cable to be plugged in as well, if need be.

With this setup the volume is only controlled threw the phone, which is a little louder than stock the head unit. The Bluetooth receiver allows you to change the song, answer calls, pause audio, and access Cortana, Siri and whatever android uses as well.
