Sadly I disagree. I find the current LED tail light offerings look tacky re using the stock diffuser. There is a reason cars these days don't come looking like that from the factory.
$1000 for something that keeps the old look, just makes it brighter seems like a waste to me.
I do agree that redoing the whole assembly (lens and all) would be expensive and odds are it would be impossible to get more then a few people to agree on a design making it hardly worth the trouble.
I am going to be making my own set somewhere in that general design philosophy after I finish my front turn signals.
Everyone has different tastes, some people prefer not to change anything. Others want to change everything.
