I have some dry rot on my Comptech fuel lines. Two mechanics argued one wouldn't sign off my tech sheet for my track event and one did. I am going to have them replaced soon but is this as dangerous as one guy said? I've spent thousands for this one weekend track event. Been looking forward to it all year. I'd have to lose all the money including hotel, rental car, time off work, etc.

I've seen this dry rot for a long time now. Would you cancel your event? I have a halon in the car now too.

its hard to tell without a pic, if its been the same for a while and you've know it and still done events then i say go for it. can you smell gas?

Dry rot? Are you lines made of wood?

Metal usually corrodes
Rubber usually hardens
plastic usually gets brittle

My wood only changes if...

Lol rubber dry rots. Like old tires. I will take a pic. Oh definitely do not smell gas if that was the case there is NO WAY I would drive the car. It's ALL the Comptech hoses.
