I got my die-cast 1:18 scale NSX-S in the mail the other day, and I decided to post some pictures. I was really happy with the detail of the model, but the paint has some flaws (like bubbles). Anyway here are the pics of the only NSX I can afford (for now  )

Am I pathetic, or what? lol

Oh, and the very poor conditions of the room are due to the fact that it's a Michigan State University dorm room, and I believe they spent $5 furnishing each room

I think it is totally cool. Before you know it you will have the NSX that takes up more space and you can fit in!

Nah, it's not dumb. But, the NSX you bought seems like it was in an accident. The right door doesn't close correctly and it also looks like someone installed a crappy shift knob and boot.

Hi

Cool..now you have to get it lowered too

nah he needs supercharger

nice collection, looks like you got Enzo and Ford GT to keep NSX company

You got the 1:18 Kyosho toy/model. There's no company that makes a decent 1:18 scale NSX right now. Kyosho so far is the best and it's not saying much. The front end of most Kyosho NSXs are higher than the rear so it always looks like the car is taking off. I had to lower mine front and back. There's a pic of it somewhere on this forum...I'll try to find it later.

I bought my Imola orange type S 1:18 Kyosho a few weeks before I bought my real NSX. To tell the truth, I bought it out of frustration because at that time, I was under the impression that I would never be able to get it. The financing fell through and I was told there was no way I would own the car I wanted so I bought a 1:18 scale toy instead. Two weeks later, I found another source of financing and I had my red '91 delivered to my driveway!

When I was in late college years or early medical school, I sat in an NSX in the show room. It must have been 1991,or1992.
I wanted one really bad. I was too cheap to even buy a model of at the time.
Well, after 4 years of med school.4 years of residency,1 year of fellowship, and 6-7 years of practicing medicine,I got my brand new 04 NSX.
Dreams can come true aftersome serious efforts.

This sounds like the Porsche commercial where the kid asked for a business card from the Porsche salesmanand told him that he'll be seeing him in 20 years.

Here's a pic of my small collection:

Ok it took me a minute to realize the garage scene was a model!!!
What scale are those large cars? and where can you get them!!??

Very nice. Someone mentioned small dorm room... when I was a teenager, shall we say some years ago, I would build motorcycles in my room, 2 filghts down a spiral staircase...well you build it then take it apart and up the stairs and reassemble it!! Sub assemble your nsx and there you go!

The larger ones are usually 1:18 scale, the larger more detailed available models come in 1:12 scale, but I don't think there were any NSXs (could be mistaken). And that garage scene is just simply amazing. I wish I could do something like that for my cars.

The large ones are 1/18 the smaller ones 1/36 and 1/43 and the smallest are 1/59. I have also two 1/12th radio controled NSX's.

Personally... I think it's hot....

I remember when I finally bought mine.. I kept telling myself that I've always admired the car... but never had proof of my obsession for the car... until i cleaned up my crap and found a CD with pics of the NSX, specs.. etc.. was good memories...

This way when you get your NSX you'll appreciate it more... (and take it to the track... ) j/k..

hope things work out for you.....

My NSX model sends her love to your model... ;) (ok, now that's sad :D )

Gerard van Santen : That garage has to be the best model arrangement i've ever seen. So detailed and original. Except why didn't you trash an Enzo or something? Here's a concept of the Enzo design. :D
