gaugeART Video Gauge Adapter

ScienceofSpeed is pleased to release the gaugeART Video Gauge Adapter for the AEM EMS. This is one of the hottest and most innovative products we've come across in the past twelve years.

The system interfaces with the AEM EMS (including Series 2 units currently sold by ScienceofSpeed, as well as every Series 1 EMS sold in the past) to produce a video image of gauges that can be displayed on an in-dash navigation system screen, or on a separate standalone video display, like one mounted in a Honda navigation pod.

The gaugeART Video Gauge Adapter can display any parameter from the ECU. Data can be displayed digitally, as a circular gauge, or a horizontal or bar graph. The system comes with several standard designs, however, the best feature is http://designer.gaugeART.com - a website that is used to create an unlimited number of gauge designs. You're limited only by your imagination. The system also supports external fluid pressure sensors and fluid temperature sensors for monitoring things like oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel pressure. Unlike the discontinued HKS CAMP, the gaugeART adapter allows completely customizable displays.

EMS only? No FIC?

And/or does it need an AEM box at all? It says it connect directly to sensors...

AEM EMS is required, other ECUs to be offered. FIC will not work, because it lacks data output. The sensors are installed to the EMS, which outputs the sensor output through the data stream to the gaugeART video adapter.

And it will work with sos nav pod housing ? If so i want one

It works with any display, including the one we sell that fits in to the nav pod (along with in dash nav units, etc).

I look forward to this very needed and practical modification in my NSX.
As I was telling Chris, gauges down near the ash tray area is not practical when tracking/racing/driving fast.
They need to be posted closer to eye level.
Displayed in the nav pod, I don't have to go too far off from the direction of travel/road.
I'm still toying with the gauge designer.
Hopefully a tutorial will be added soon.

Here are some examples of different layouts you could use. Ignore the voltage on that one pic.

yes and no, it depends how complex you make. Like on my second one where I actually put the AFR numbers in the background image, that takes a bit of tweaking. But the first one is automatic, all digital numbers; so its already accurate. The creator of the unit does a real good job updating the firmware to make it easier. I've had the unit for almost a half a year now, it's come a long way and it's very well built and programmed.

Looks like a fantastic product!

How hard is it going to be to find a 7" monitor (or tablet PC?) that has a VGA or Composite inputs though?
(might this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2C00YR9740 )
I have a Honda Navpod on the dash already, so fitting it there should be a snap.

Both great designs, thank you for posting! I'm not sure if you've seen it, gaugeDesigner has been updated with several new features, including left and right digital text alignment.

hi Brian --

Very easy. Good quality units can be found on Amazon for $100-200. Look for ones with a VGA input, 800x480 resolution, and 250 nit. I'm not sure if you are aware, we make a screen & machined plate that fits in to the nav pod:

Gauge Art

Still toying with designer & photoshop, have to make some changes but here goes:

Once installed in car, I can upload data and post a video once complete.

Next time, just call me. I have an extra you can try. High up, daytime visibility may be an issue unless you have a transflective screen.

I'm eager to see other designs.
