How bad is my rear engine mount *picture*

Hello, I'm a new NSX owner, I just bought a used NSX 94 with 56k, car seems in good condition, my rear engine mount seems tired, here is a picture.

How bad it is? I'm not a mecanic but I can get a used from an 04 NSX... what do you think about it? Is it dangerous?

I cannot tell from the pic if the mount rubber has a crack. If not, it is probably OK. If it is, replace it.

From the picture, it seems that your mistaking the excess rubber from the mold as the mount being worn out.

When in doubt, replace it.
OLDMNSX posted a fix or "help" for that rear mount to tide you over with sealant.

Agreed. I almost made this mistake.

Can the rear mount be removed without any additional engine support?
Or do you need a separate jack to "help keep up" the back part of the engine, when doing the swap with a new mount?
