Actually, your flash was pointed directly at the car, which is why you have the glare and crappy image. You needed to angle the flash up and then bounce it off white cardboard towards the car to get the proper exposure.

Imola's photo's should be Honda promotional material... they are more inspiring.
You've got the right idea... practice makes perfect. Keep trying... no NSX photo is a waste.
You do have one huge disadvantage though; your NSX is black. It's hard to bring out details with a black surface. (but not impossible)
