Message to pass on to your partner

"Only with regular occurance will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine," said Dr. Helena Shifteer, one of the researchers at the University. "Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances."

..."daily routine"... I 100% agree with this woman...cum on guys, lets help fight breast cancer the best way we can

How about posting this: NSFW next to the link?

Always so sensitive...

Had there been nudity after the jump then I could see your point, but there wasn't. Just text, and it was formatted so that if anyone was looking over my shoulder they would have seen what appeared to be the CNN page.

I am guessing that you simply don't open threads marked NSFW, and that is cool with me if it helps you avoid having your sensitivity offended.

My coworker thought it was hilarious. She sent it to her husband.

i agree with ken that nsfw / nsw / "caution when opening" in the subject lines of sexually-oriented material would be helpful.

i saw this article some time ago and thought about posting it... i mean, what's the harm? the harm is when the link gets opened, the file is displayed for all to see and in this case, the viewer deemed a perv by co-workers / others when all they were doing is opening a link that had the word "partner" in it.

h - i think it's great that your co-worker found it funny today when you showed it to her. make sure you document her response, though, because if she chooses to leave your company and file a lawsuit for sexual harassment, ya never know if you'll be included in the papers.

no morality police here, just asking for common courtesy.

btw, here's what displayed on my screen (i shielded my cats eyes :)

The first two words in GIANT FONT were: Study: Fellatio... Your coworkers may find it hilarious, but my high school students didn't...

Hal got it right. It's not about being the "morality police", it's about common courtesy. If your view of me is that I am the "morality police", then so be it.

And WHO is responsible for exposing you highschool students? The OP for not putting a label on the thread, or YOU for browsing links in the OT section of a website while surrounded by impressionable teens?

I didn't make the morality police comment. I implied that you were overly sensitive to subject matter.

If I were to conduct a search- how many of your posts are indignant attempts to impugn other members for being "out of line" with your moral view? What forum are they generally found in?

Short answer- Off Topic

Here is a thought for you as a measure of preventative for your impressionable students, as well as protection for yourself-

Maybe it's not such a good idea to browse the off topic forums while in school.

Read me out here-

This portion of Prime was set up to cover the kind of subjects that may turn NSFW. Honestly- your safety is at your fingertips. There are a lot of interesting posts in the other sections of the forum, but save OT for home if you are in an impressionable environment.

No clicky? no problem.

This is just a thought that might resolve what appears to be a lighning rod issue for you. You have commented about content enough times that I am positive you are aware that this area can get "Risqué".

I mean you no offense. You might notice that my first post was edited (by me) before Hal completed his. I felt it read too much like an attack, and I corrected myself. I have also asked Hal to edit his quoted comment well prior to responding to yours.

I'm really not trying to be a jerk here- just helpful.

true true!! It was on CNN.

If the article came from maxim.com with pictures of scantily clad women then we might have problem.

Sorry, I didn't think it was offensive... next time I'll be more careful. Thought it was real, and that the doctor should receive a nobel prize.

Philip,

You're right, I would be responsible for exposing my students to offensive material, but lately most material of that nature tends to come with the NSFW warning.

Nowhere in the Off Topic forum description does it say "can get risque" or "may turn NSFW". In fact, for every NSFW topic I could probably find 50 that do not contain such material. As such, a warning would be appreciated.

Also, during my free time at school I can spend a few minutes doing things I like to do, such as browse Prime. I never blamed the OP for exposing my "impressionable" students to risque topics, I merely suggested (in bold red font) that next time he caution the reader that the screen "may" contain questionable material. Others here, including the OP, agree that that is not an unreasonable request.

If you feel you must research all my posts to find where I impugn others' "morality", I invite you to do it.

LUCKY!!!!

Thanks for your considerate response.

No worries... I think you have a point. You could have been a grade school teacher with curious kids, or even kids of your own that would ask you a difficut question. Ive been out of the states too long, didn't even know what "nsfw" meant.

But I remember when I was in highschool, we weren't that innocent. Nowadays, I'm sure kids have much more advanced knowledge of things we feel they shouldn't... so don't feel so bad, I think they've already been exposed.

BTW they must think you are the coolest teacher pulling up in an NSX. I had a history teacher freshman year HS that pulled up in a silver gullwing classic mercedes every morning... and yes she was HOT, like model hot. Needless to say, I got an A in that class, which was something I didn't do often.

I don't know about the coolest teacher... But I have seen pics on the internet of my car in the school parking lot, and there is one member here on Prime who is a former student of mine who now credits me with his decision to buy an NSX.

For those of us who have met Ken, we know he is not busting anyone. He is just asking people be a little more considerate and realize that some of us do cruise Prime when we are sitting at home and our children may or may not be sitting next to us or looking over our shoulder. After all, NSX Prime is not a porn site. So, please just use the appropriate warning then it is user beware. This is a great site, let us all work to keep it that way.

Thanks, that's all it is.

Now, back on topic...
