I think her husband has the R8. When I met them (Shell station, 5 &Beck) a few years ago, he mentioned that the NSX was his wife's car.

Mystery solved!!!

To our great surprise, Sally (sp?) participated in today's Waterford Hills Open Track Day in her Blue / Tan NSX.

Even better, her husband Mark participated with his satin Blue R8 V10 (the Plus version) and their daughter Andie (sp?) even ran in her Audi A4 2.0T Quattro.

I had Sally and Andie as my Students, so I told them all about Prime, the other local owners.....and yes, even our Wednesday night sessions at CJ's.

Hopefully they will post up in this thread soon with any additions / corrections ;-P

Brian (& Judi)

(Neal- I hope your drive back from Cincy wasn't in very stormy conditions.....some hot stuff blew through here!)

I thought about going today but saw the forecast was for rain. Do they run the open track day in the rain?

^^^ Yes, we sure do.

In fact, you can learn a LOT by running in low grip conditions!

Cool! Mystery solved!!

anyone know a good scratch touch-up guy? It's for a friend. Ekin... i recall you mentioning that you know someone good. Thanks

Ditto. My DD got keyed pretty severely, and my wife's car got a such scratch too.

Dots connected. And Sara thinks I coached Andi in high school.

545 total miles driven, home - Columbus, OH, - Cincinnati, OH, - return and all wonderful!

Could have had it transported, but then I don't get to watch - ask dumb questions - and learn. Justin was unreal. Total refresh completed for ten future years of confident NSX ownership and motoring.

You guys need to drive more. Road trips, remember?

Honda has a HUGE fan base in Ohio. They go bonzo down there when they see this car.

Thanks, Brian (sca037) for your well-wishes. Encountered major rain on the way home up I-75 at Wapakoneta through Lima. I was happy to have the new Dunlop Direzza Z1's you and Judi stored for me freshly mounted and rolling to and from. Tread is good . AutoLab Plymouth great job mount and road-force balancing.

So the N'ville/W-side LBBP does have a tan interior/six speed (?) and spottings are confirmed. I hope the sports car enthusiast owners chime in.

Neal, glad your trip to Columbus went well.

I see Patrick posted up on the Cdn board about discussing logistics for trip to EST FEST at CJs Wednesday evening. I can't make it out to CJs this week. Let's try and keep everyone informed on this board. I had to travel to Toronto on business over weekend and fellow that processed me at border said on Memorial Day Weekend it is a total zoo on a Friday to cross from US to Canada at Blue Water Bridge. That got me to thinking -- have any of you ever taken the ferry from Algonac to Walpole Island, Ontario? I have done it in the TL and to best of my recollection no nasty ramp or similar to get the car onto/off of the ferry. This is a great way around the bridge festivities -- just a thought. I'll check with the authorities about whether cars like ours have any issues loading/unloading from ferry. For what it is worth, if possible would be great to get over into Ontario earlier as opposed to later on Friday.

Best,
Jeff

Jeff: Do you have a NEXUS pass? It has saved me hours on border crossings on holiday weekends.

Neal: When you say "total refresh" that's good for another 10 years, just curious what else you had them do. Also, is it typical to do an engine-out for TB/WB? Or was that driven by something else you had them do?

Dave, wish I did but through pure laziness I don't.

Dave5,

We always do an engine out TB/WP service. We work on a bunch of nsx's a year. Most are here for Major services ( this year we have done 10 already )

8 out of 10 times when someone has previously done a TB/WP on these in the car they are a tooth off. Sometimes 2.. We noticed this early on and chose to always make this part of our service. We want it to be right. With no question. We also usually do most seals and gaskets at this time on a lot of cars. However some do not need those. We also take this time to clean up the engine bay, Suspension parts and engine. We want the car to leave here looking and driving better in every way.

It is a little more expensive this way, However we feel it is without question the BEST way to do it. So much so we do not even offer an engine in car version of this anymore.

Brian

Are you guys ready?.....

So here's the quick run down with next weekend:

We'll arrive at the track on Friday night to have our track time between 4:00p.m. and dusk; where we'll take care of as much guest registration as possible.

The guest registration for the weekend has been set at $70.00 PP and includes everything except spa and spending money. For this you get:

Goodie bag (1 per couple)
Track time (usually $150-$200 per person)
Dinner and refreshments Friday night at the track
Lunch on Saturday at our lunch stop
Dinner on Saturday evening at the buffet restaurant ($50 including tax and tip per person)
A moderate amount of adult bevvies through the weekend
Trophies for Sunday mornings show and shine (for the select winning entries)
10% off any spa services through the weekend.
FYI: Breakfast is included in your room stay.

To quote one of our American guests who shall remain nameless, yet drives an Imola Orange NSX "This is the best deal of the year!"

If anyone would like to book any spa services for the Sunday morning - please contact Patti Firth at [email protected] and she will coordinate everything for us.

I have also sent out the registration package for those who have confirmed their attendance so if you haven't received yours please let me know and I will send it right out.

I'm still sidelined..decided to replace the ball joints+ oil pressure sender+ Clutch slave cylinder and hose (previous owner didn't do it when he replaced the clutch and master cylinder)+ rear tie rod ends+ radiator hoses+ oil pan gasket+ Coilovers. The joy of a 22 year old car, I'm not complaining :)

Hass, that's a good list and a better excuse.....sounds like you'll be ready for next weekend!

Ryan, we did go to Baker's (took the S2000). When we parked we put the top up, and at least while we were there- that was enough to stave off the showers

Ah, but on Saturday we attended a S2000 drive along the Pioneer Wine Trail spanning from Tecumseh to Jackson, which in spite of some scattered rain was a blast.
Better yet, we met a couple that just brought (last Wednesday, from Kansas) a 1997 Yellow / Black manual NSX home to Rochester Hills.

Bob & Laurie, I'm officially "outing" you here, so please stop by and fill your fellow NSX folks in on things!

(oh, and once again- Happy Birthday Laurie ;-)

Brian & Judi

Bob and Laurie, welcome! I was heading home from work other day (I have a Formula Red /94) in my daily driver southbound on telegraph and saw a yellow NSX heading north on Telegraph -- of course my head swiveled like Linda Blair's in The Exorcist -- LOL. Was that your car? Hope to see you guys soon.

Best,
Jeff

Thanks for the welcome, I think I learned more from Brian & Judi over lunch about NSX's than I have from months of reading online. If it was thursday about 6ish or saturday about 5:30ish then that might have been me on north bound Telegraph. If the guy had huge smile on his face, that probably was me.

You were going too fast -- LOL. It had to be you as I don't think that since one of our compadres left for parts Southern, there has been another spa yellow in town. You will find that the NSX owners around here (especially the long time owners like Brian, Judi, Neal and Cindy) have tons of great information.

Best,
Jeff

I spotted this car going north on Telegraph in West Bloomfield. Gorgeous car!
I tried to catch up using my rad Caravan but couldn't keep up with the driver's mad skills.

....

I did an oil change on my NSX on Sunday. Went to log it in my folder and realized I drove it less than 2000 miles in 4 years. :(
