Please excuse my crappy photography skills.

Well, turns out 2 days ago my neighbor got himself a beautiful new Elise to replace his 80s corvette (in the garage behind). Haha, he told me that after 7 years of working on the Corvette, he's tired of fixing it cause it breaks down and such... so he got himself an Elise!

Then this morning, my dad told me (yes I proudly live at home still), that the first time he saw my NSX (2years), he has been saving to buy one. Then his friend mentioned the Elise to him and he fell in love with it! I wish I knew he wanted an NSX so I could have egg'd him on for one.. would have been cool to have one across the street!

Well, enjoy my 3 pictures =]

sounds like a great story, i think its better that you have a little bit of variety.

that is an interesting color scheme you got there. is that a converted 02+ or is it a regular one?

gorgeous car man!!
Thanks!

Just a regular ol' 92 acura. Haha but yeah, it's a converted 02+. Thanks for the "interesting" remark.. I think its different in a good way.. like a cow?

I'm going to strongly disagree on that? Where are you getting your facts from?Lotus requires very little maintenance unless you drive the crap out of it. If that's the case, then it's really the owner who is actually unreliable.

gorgeous car man!!

in regards to the lotus...they are not very reliable themselves...and do have big repair bills!

very nice cars, but i think the nsx needs dropped a little. nice rides

It sure does.. I've been saying this since I bought the car, 2 years ago. It even sits slightly higher in the front (lots of weight reduction in the front), and I still hit stuff (I daily drive so selecting special parking lots isn't always feasible)

def needs a drop.

not sure if i like the color scheme... =X would think the black roof would really finish the car better

no cuz i have had two. normal driver also. british cars reliability ftl

i have some drop springs on some 91 struts that i bought from c-speed about a month ago. i just kept the dali coilovers on my nsx and deal with the harsh ride. i'll let them go for what i payed for them. i payed 260 shipped

Thanks but, I think I need coilovers. The front is a tad higher than the rear (CF hood, fiberglass bumper, no popups, no spare time, no weight)... and so I need the adjustability of coil overs. Maybe I should look into the Dali coilovers. Does it handle well? How much more harsh? My asked me tonight why my car is so much more "rough" than hers, haha.

Nice car. I'm pretty sure I saw it at the Well's Fargo in Torrance the other week.
Yep!! That's my bank! Say Hi next time =]

You said you once owned two Loti, which ones were they? What support or findings can you provide that the Lotus car maker construct unreliable cars? It's a bold statement you threw out there. I hope your not comparing any of the late model Esprit or the S1 Lotus Elise with the current production cars like the one S2 model I own. That's comparing apples with oranges.

My moded Lotus Exige S is making 270hp to the crank on stock clutch and fuel system and has 30 mpg on highway. You also only have to change the oil every 7500 miles and some of the parts can be found at your Toyota dealership at dirt cheap prices.

Unless you don't have a dealer/specialist near you who can service your Lotus. That is the only possible reason why it would seem costly for certain Lotus owner.

lazynok,

I seen your NSX in person before, beautiful ride. I can tell she is begging you to give her a slight drop in the ride height.

I don't have 1st hand experience on other exotic cars. Never owned one, but the newer European exotics seem fairly reliable despite what people post what they read on internet. I do know a few local owners who daily drives their European exotics, their cars seem to be quite reliable according to them and what I saw. Hopefully someday I can give opinion with 1st hand experience.

I do have 1st hand experience with NSX. NSX owners seems to be very forgiving or have very high level of tolerance, and overlook what they have spent on repairs and maintenance. Little here, little there, it does add up. It always puzzles me why NSX owners seems to love to bag on other cars. Is it because of self insecurity or ignorance?

In SoCal I always hear NSX owners tell me their NSX is in shop for new clutch, new cam plug, head gasket, new this, and that, all the time. I just had my NSX tranny replaced, it wasn't too bad because I had help from friends and got me back in new record of 1 day tranny replacement turn around time. Otherwise, it would had been a royal pain in the rear.

its not being an nsx owner that makes me bag on the car, its first hand experience. the cars that i own are very reliable. a porsche 993, and the nsx. these are the two most reliable cars ive even owned.

and im pretty sure both my lotus elise were series 2. seeing as how both were '05 MY. anyone who has owned british cars knows how often the cars see the service dept.
