Hello All,

John and I have finalized the plans for a great day to enjoy all things that are NSX! We are scheduled to meet in Greensboro NC between 9:30-10:00 am on Saturday, May 16th at Foreign Cars Italia. They are going to roll out the red carpet for us by allowing us to meet there and they will be giving tours of the showroom and shop. If we get an unofficial head count on here, many of you may can meet up and caravan in from both the east and west.

Foreign Cars Italia
9:30-10:00am
(I-40 at Guildford College Road Exit 213)
5603 Roanne Way, Greensboro NC 27409
336.294.0200

We will stay at FCI for a while and then regroup at a resturant (to be named later this week) for some lunch and more car talk. Everyone is free to head out after that. It is a chance for many of us that have spoken on Prime for months or years to finally get together!

Also we may have a guest appearance by Steve Gooding (Acura Master Tech and NSX Specialists). Many of you have heard about his work and many more of us only intrust our vehicles to him. Great opportunity to ask the technical questions that you may have and get an idea of any work that you may want done on your car.

This is also a great test for us in NC to show the rest of the country how strong of a NSX contingent there is here. It could plant the seed for a future NSXexpo in the Carolinas!

We look forward to having a great turn out, the buzz has been hot about this event for some time. Keep your fingers crossed for good weather. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 16th.

Michael

It looks like I am getting my car back Thursday from paint. So ... as long at the weather holds, count me in!

John ... the list is getting longer everytime I log on and check this post. It's going to be great turnout!

There is a Marriott Courtyard off of Wendover Ave that has a big parking lot that you could put the NSX out back with no problem. Glad that you are coming down.

Tony,

Michael and I talked about the weather. Right now (and things are changing in the forecast about every six hours) it appears that the rain will be isolated and a 30% chance). Since we've got owners coming from a distance, we decided to proceed regardless of the weather. Individual owners of course can decide on their own to either stay home or bring an alternate vehicle to this event.

Since you live right there in Greensboro you have the good fortune to make that call at the last minute - or if the rain holds off until later in the day, take off for home when it threatens.

Hope to see you Saturday, John

This is really turning into a great event! So far we have about 20+ coming into town. It should be a great time. The FCI tour and drive to lunch should be a sight to see, make sure you bring your cameras!

Temps should be in the low 80's for Saturday, but as we know being here in NC there is always a chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoons, hopefully late enough that it will not effect this event. We will continue to watch the weather and please check back here up until late Friday night for a 'game time decision'. Myself and John will be there rain or shine for those of you coming great distances, so don't fret!

Upon much debate and looking around the Greensboro area we are going to caravan over to Celebration Station- 4315 Big Tree Way, Greensboro, NC 27409 after FCI to grab a bite to eat. John spoke to the managment and they have a big parking lot, a minimal early afternoon crowd and an easily accessable location (near I-40 and I-85). They are happy to have us and are not going to charge us any minimum catering or reservation cost like many of the places we looked at in Greenboro wanted to for a undefined group our size. The good thing about the location is that if this is not to your liking there are several resturants within 1/2 mile either way on Wendover Ave that you can shoot over to and back. They just could not accomadate us in their parking lots or reserve space for us in the resturant.

I am looking forward to a great event. It seems as if the Eastern part of the state is well repersented, hopefully in the 11th hour more from the West will show!

See you Saturday, stay tuned for more information. . . .

Attention: All NSX owners departing from Raleigh area planning to caravan to Foreign Cars Italia - Greensboro on Saturday morning, May 16th.

We have planned a route that will take us west on Hwy 64, then north on Hwy 421 into Greensboro. Many of us have used this route. It avoids the heavy traffic on I-40, and is a very pleasant drive, all on 4 lane divided highway.

We expect the trip to take about 1 1/2 hours. We have set up a meeting point at the Walnut Street McDonalds across from the Crossroads Shopping area off Hwy 1/64. This is the first exit off the beltline (I-440). Directions to this site are as follows:

I-440 Beltline to exit 293 A-B - West on Hwy 1/64 to a Right at Exit 101A. At the top of the ramp, turn Right. Follow approximately 1 mile to the 3rd traffic light just past the McDonald's - Turn Right and then immediately Right into the McDonald's parking lot.

We will plan to leave this site promptly at 8 am, so plan to be there early enough to be ready to depart at 8 am. I'll be arriving there at 7:30.

Considering the early nature of our departure John, I'll probably just meet you guys up in Cary.
