... Ferrari as it was originally.

Here is a picture of Ferrari's actual vision of a midengine two seater sportscar proving that even today it is possible to bring us an inspired and appealing design.

Hope it will help Honda to wake up and do what everybody's world car enthousiast are waiting and dying for.

Shame on you Honda to be so blind ...

"When you've already got an outstanding V-8 and a legendary V-12, it makes no sense to invest big in creating a V-10."

So, the new NSX spec should look like:

4L V8 or V12 @ 180 hp/L

10k redlining for a flat torque curve engine @ 400 lbs ft + peak torque

hybrid carbon aluminum design @ under 3000 lbs curb weight

...

Sorry of it's a repost.

Acura RL Mugen Edition

4.0L V8 Naturally Aspirated
Horsepower: 590hp / 9500rpm
torque: 383lb/ft / 7500rpm

So true. The V-10 project is a joke.

Wow, 180 hp/L is a bit of a stretch, even for Honda. That's 29% more hp/L than anyone's ever achieved--the S2000's 120 hp/L is still the all-time record.

I think a 4.2L V-8 at 120 hp/L (proven attainable) at ~ 505hp & 375 ft/lbs. is more than enough. (I wouldn't mind even a 4.5L with 115 hp/L and bumped up TQ to maybe 400 ft/lbs.) The F430 only has ~343 ft/lbs and the Scuderia will probably max out around 360 ft/lbs.

That's 25 hp more than the F430 and almost equal to the Scuderia. 3,000 lbs (The Scuderia is ~2,900), a killer suspension, F1 tranny and you'll have one hell of a car for under $150K which is totally doable and will be about 2/3 the price of the Scuderia--just like the original NSX was to the F348.

That car could be theoretically faster than the F430 Scuderia, the C6 ZO6, 997TT, Gallardo Superleggera, and possibly as fast as the ZO7/Blue Devil.
