I've done a few of the SCCA hpde's at Thunderhill, and they were certainly fun, but I think i want to move on to a different one.
Thunderhill doesnt have an intermediate group, you either
A: get the instructor and run with beginners (and i mean really slow beginners) and never get to push your car for more than a handful of turns before you're on someone who's a little too timid or new to go fast.
or B: run by yourself with no instructor in the expert class.
I'm currently at the level where neither option appeals to me, and i'm looking for something different. This summer i'm going to do another one, does anyone have any suggestions?
Price vs. track time is also pretty important. The scca school gives 5x20 minute runs for about 200 bucks
