Great article! The NSX-R got smoked on the race track. 2 seconds is huge. The two are very close in a straight line despite the NSX having .8 L less and 30 less HP.

It says the NSX-R only has a 15 gallon tank. Don't regular NSX's have an 18.5 gallon tank?

I am really surprised to read the RS is so much faster on the track than the NSX-R.
I remember reading the NSX-R at the time set a time of something like 8:03 on the Nurnburg-Ring.
That was more than 5 seconds FASTER on the Nordschleife than the Porsche 911 Turbo with Porchses own test-driver. The RS is a different car but I don't think that on a track like that it would be faster than a 911 Turbo.

I dont believe that the 993 RS is faster on track than the old NSX-R.

For that ime, R was a real handling machine, far infront of 355 and 993.
