Preview: NSX's Gone Wild

I'll post an actual release date, as soon as it's finished. I don't want to keep changing an estimated time of arrival on a long project like this and keep everyone falsely hoping...

Here's my interpretation...

"Please STFU until the release date is published. I understand the anticipation, but not the impatience. So, kindly keep the complaints to yourselves, or, go make your own video."

Take your time, Phu. I used to own a video production company... and everything you've put out so far is the best NSX video I've seen. Quality takes time... and with the hours and hours of raw video you have from the production shooting, I can easily understand why it takes a long time to complete.

Maybe he should outsource the work to a 3rd world country.

 you're too funny, Steve... I appreciate the understanding. Over 5 hours of raw footage, not including conversion time to a usable format:wink:

But as often as I get asked about the video, I figure everyone is just anticipating and looking forward to seeing the video, so I don't mind it (most of the time:biggrin:).

I can see it already: NSX's Gone...kind of Wild (due to budget cut). Instead of 15 mins of viewing time, it's now shorten to 7 to save bandwidth. Forget blu-ray or even dvd, VHS is the way to go:tongue:

Sure not the old silent films...I mean if we are going to save money, might as well go all out. LoL

15 mins!? does that mean its going to be longer than originally anticipated?

I have an idea.
Ok, so you finish one day and start releasing discs to an eager audience (us). The video is 15 minutes long. That means you’ll have a lot of empty space on the disc. Why not just fill it with as much raw, unedited footage as will fit? Just throw it in. I’d watch it. I’d watch every second of it, and I think 90% of the other NSXers would watch it, too (the other 10 percent would miss it on the menu).
We’re sorta starved for NSX content.

How do you know that he doesn't already have that in his back pocket?

The "eager audience (you)" might also get multiple short videos of other NSXs... like this video.

Put me down on the pre-list as well. Matter of fact, put me down for two. One for me and I'm buying one for John "Superfan" Hudak.

The DVD is still in pre-production, so I won't go too much into details yet. But you can expect the following features:

-Main video
-Behind-the-scene footage
-Special, individual contents of the NSX's, including pictures, engine sound, etc.
-Group pictures, save-able via computer.

Should be fun

It's funny how some video people think alike

Funny maybe we will find an illegal download on one of those torrent sites. LoL Might get to see the video before it is officially released.

Anyway. Looking forward to it. the teasers look amazing by the way.

Bluray would be great as long as it's not already being filmed with standard video cameras. The only benefit there may be the ability to encode it to the disc uncompressed and the upscaling, but unless the source is film or HD video it wouldn't matter too much. I don't want to make any assumptions, I have no idea what equipment is being used, just a technical point. I'll be happy with whatever version we get, but if it's in HD, so much the better!
What I want is a killer soundtrack with uncompressed redbook audio.

I think this is what's being used.

Phu's using professional HD video gear (he shot this at 1920x1080x24p). You obviously haven't followed this thread from the beginning!
