Bahahaha...that thread is everywhere now! Poor guy getting laughed at all over the world!
I think we need to give the guy a break. Afterall, using a sock as an oil cap did work for MacGyver.... 
Let me see, he has no money, mom's AAA card, Dad's Chevron card and he is driving a BMW......you just have to love that! I would give him a bicycle and see if he can get a sock out of the chain....

haha....I like how he asks if he should tow it to speed e oil or whatever AFTER he drains the oil, removes the valve cover, cuts the sock out,and torques the valve cover back down to spec....if he can do all that, couldn't he change the oil?
No money and driving an 2002 M3. I don't think the car is his. He must be trying to hide this from his parents.

I agree in part with the other poster. Kinda sounds like someone stole the car and got a case of the dumbass and now is trying to find a way out.
