Restoring a Fallen Member

In October 2010, I purchased a totaled 91 NSX...

It has been sitting in my garage as a side to a side project, it wasn't until recently I started to really dive into it. I knew I had the bodywork to do, and the obvious broken suspension pieces. I then became a member on prime and used the vin/tranny number to locate previous owners, all but 1, lets call the THANKS DAD kid. I was thrilled to find this, so I started to pulse old members, current members, someone that might know something, I found LovesNSx's thread on how it was wrecked,http://nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136112 Spence being the previous owner I made contact to find that I was well received and that a good amount of my questions where answered. It Has been 2 long years, and after being vandalized at the junkyard, but she is finally on the road again. Purists do not continue.....

Wow, that's quite the transformation. Do you have a more extensive write-up of the restore process?

whats that parts car in the background??

Pm me.

doesnt feel good to bring them back to life

I say its the closest a man will ever get to giving birth LOL

great job how does she handle

Awesome work!!!

Congrats on bringing your car back to life and welcome to nsxprime!!!!!

Wow.Thats not just a fallen member, that has to be viagra worthy.I cant imagine how much time and love went into that car. What a beauty.Good on you and thanks for the pictures.

I love seeing threads like this, the artistry and determination required to put a car like that back together is very admirable. Thanks for sharing and may you have many happy miles ahead of you!

So sweet! Way to go. That has to be a labor of love. I can barely imagine the countless hours of dedication and sacrifice to get that done. An inspiration for all of us, no matter what we take on. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work.
I am going to hijack this thread a bit. I see you have the Red Honda emblem on the nose. Only way to take off the old Acura emblem is to remove the entire front bumper correct? It is held on by 2 pins?

It has lock rings on it. I am not sure if it can be taken off while bumper is on the car. It was already off when I got the car

DeVinci13 no to take off the emblem you do not need to remove the front bumper.

you get some dental floss and " saw " the emblem off

there are 2 pegs in the center of the emblem that are used to center it on the bumper.

saw half the emblem and pull it off its held on with 3m sticky tape.

no need to remove the engine to do an oil change either LOL just kidding

Great work. My favorite thing in the world is taken a neglected piece of industrial art and bringing it back from the dead (enjoy fixing houses too).

What kind of wheels are note? Are those the wheels SOS sells (Advan RC's in gunmetal?)
