I just installed another DTM exhaust on my car.Has anyone else had problems with the tips being too close to the bumper and melting? On my previous NSX this happened.I don't want to damage another bumper on my car.Anyone have any idea's?

It is a common problem since the exhaust exit is close to the tips. My rule is make sure you can get a finger between the valance and the tip and it will be OK. Had mine for two years of so without a problem.
But if it is too close, burn baby burn!!

I had to fiddle with mine for a while and also installed some of that adhesive backed muffler heat shield tape(can be found at any auto parts store) No problems here.

What color of heatshield tape did you use? I'm assumming silver,I've never seen black before.Did you cover the whole exhaust tip area or just the edge of the bumper?
