Same day Wheel Chroming?

Chrome plating on 2 of my stock wheels is starting to peel off, mostly due to curb scrape. Instead of putting car on jacks (which I do not have) and remove the wheels myself, I would like to bring the vehicle to a shop which will remove/rechrome/replace on the same day, or at least where I can leave the car overnight. Does such a place or option exist in the South Bay?

I don't think that exists..
I mean, the amount of work required to do the job right I would think would take on the order of a few days... with stripping the original finish, then prepping, then chroming, then curing... and doing that with a 1 day turnaround??

Here's a SoCal company and they claim 10-20+ business days (~2 weeks to a month).

I figured my request might be as unreasonable as an electric car with a 500 mile range. Thanks for confirming my suspicions, and for the link you provided.

Why dun u consider powder coat near chrome instead?

true chrome blows since it will peel yet again and make it tough for ur tires to seal.

I totally agree about chrome - it is a really bad idea for aluminum wheels. Having spent way too many years fighting BMWs I can tell you that the BMW wheels shown in those photos are finished in what BMW calls Shadow Chrome ( an aluminum based paint ). I always thought that it would look great on NSX wheels. The company I just mentioned in reply to grybrd's post are located in the Bay area and do a PVD true chrome look. In fact any OEM chrome wheel you see is done using this process.

I just had 4 17" Konig feather wheels chromed via a local tire/wheel shop in escondido-----innovative wheels & car audiio. turnaround time was 3 days and the cost was $100/wheel. I had another set of wheels done through them 5 years ago and the chrome still looks new.
