You do realize that is a youtoob trailer using hacked together pieces of movies- I spotted several shots of Brad Pitt from "Troy"

Just sayin- but it would be awesome.

i got excited for a second... hahaha.... but thundercats was a badass cartoon series!!!
 
Wow. That was really well done to splice it from all those movies. Looks better than Valkery :)
 
I recall reading somewhere that they were gonna make a Thundercats movie.
This fanmade trailer doesn't look too bad tho. Impressive effects, considering
all the frames they had to go through.
A fun watch :cool:

Haha I thought the :biggrin: would give my sarcasm away.

It's still mindblowing they did this with photoshop frame by frame.. and I think this looks a lot better than any CGI Thundercats movie could ever be (which is what Warner Bros is working on right now, scheduled for a 2010 release)

Question is- which story line would they do? Macross? Masters Invasion? Invid invasion? Sentinels?

I read all of the books when I was a kid, and own the DVD sets now. Fun science fiction. I'd see the movie, and you know someone is already pitching it somewhere in Hollywood...

NOW this thread is bringing back memories.

They used to alternate between Star Blazers, Robotech, Voltron, Silver Hawks and Thundercats on the local TV when I was a kid.

Sad that there doesn't seem to be anything like those shows on TV any more.
 
Thankfuly us older folks' brains were less stimulated with speed racer,gigantor the space age robot,and the flintstones/jetsons.:redface:
 
I lived off of Star Blazers and Robotech as a kid. Lived. LIVED, I tell you.
 
I just thought of another toon of the Super Robot genre- Tranzor Z

This one was created in the 70's and used to be on in the afternoons. I recall watching it once and my Dad came into the living room in time to see the "Female" super robot Aphrodite-A as she fired off a set a missiles that were cleverly disguised as breasts... I think he was a bit surprised to see that on a kids show.

I do know they are releasing a DVD only Resident evil here in a few days which is all CG like the cut scenes.

I am a huge fan of robotech but i favor Gundam Wing/endless waltz.
