Tire pressure

'92 stock tire size was 205 on the front and 225 on the rear and mfg recommended tire pressures are 33 front 40 rear. Because I have increased my tire and rim size and now I am running 225 width in the front and 255 in the rear, what tire pressure should I use? A first order guess on my part is that I increased my width by 10% so to maintain the same length of tire contact patch size, I would need to lower the PSI by 10%. Is there anyone that knows the correct answer, or a place to go where I can find the correct answer.

If you had even tire wear with those pressures before, start with that pressure for your new tires. Adjust as necessary. The contact patch is the same size if you are at the same pressure, it's just a (very) slightly different shape.
