My CCU recently went out and I have yet to fix it. Extremely hot air blows at my feet and the passenger feet even though the CCU doesn't function at all. Is there any way to turn off that heat in the meantime while I send in the CCU?

Up front unclip the cable for the water valve and move it twards the rear to close the water valve. When you get the ccu repaired and back in unclip the cable clamp before powering up the CCU so it can move back to the closed position and that clip it down again.
