Unofficial Midnight Pearl Thread

Nice! Looking forward to seeing the precise color match on your 02 bits.

ssssssshhh dont look too closely as it's not the best color match. eventually I'll have the whole car resprayed as it needs it......

YES of course I'm not doing any color changes...... I hate it when ppl respray with white or lime green *ahem*......

I'd honestly be terrified to do even that... The paint code is known but the exact process Honda used is not, so you're not guaranteed the precise OEM look. I'd rather just repair the original paint wherever possible.

Its not like I'd have to take the entire car down to bare metal.... only wanna fix the issues... sand it down etc and prep etc...

I'll take it out for more pictures once there is more sun. I think that's the key to getting the color to really show.

Thanks for reviving the thread! I'm inspired to share:

Still the best color.

I've found it definitely more difficult to capture the color whenever its dark or evening-ish. It's hard to strike the balance between bright light to capture the color and not capturing distracting reflections from everywhere around the car.

Last night I hit 88,888 miles. Coincidentally, I pulled over right at the point on I-495 where Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia all touch so that was pretty cool. I'll get more pictures of the NSX along with my Legend probably in the next week or so if the weather improves. In the meantime, here's a shot immediately afterwards overlooking the National Harbor:

Went for a drive in Tasmania Australia last week , was very privledged to have a guest from Japan drive the Purple Car for a few hours.

His control and smoothness was outstanding, it was quite the driving lesson for me!

That is amazing. Did you get him to sign some part of your car? I couldn't let him out of my car without an autograph!

Yes...on the front inside guard, we thought anyone can get the glovebox signed!

He really enjoyed the drive in Tasmania over 4 days, lots of fantastic roads and no other cars. (Just heaps of road kill to dodge!!)

I'm actually thinking about getting a new front lip for my ride as well. The stock one on mine at least doesnt seem to fit as tight as I would like it to. Anyway, glad I found this thread, midnight pearl is such an awesome color especially for the NSX!!!

Realized I hadn't posted pics in a while:
