In the process of installing my reservoir for my turbo setup. I see most people installing them in front of the battery but shouldnt it be at the highest point of the system?? similar to a reservoir for coolant for a motor?

Correct about finding the highest point. You can simply have a fill port welded onto one end of your Air-Water IC. I have my IC reservoir in the location of the stock overflow tank and added a SOS overflow tank (from the BBSC setup) for my coolant overflow.
