Ways To Dump Property?

Yes - dump.

I have a townhome I'd like to get rid of, but because of the area it's in (govt/subsidized housing and apts nearby) as well as some interior damage which I cannot presently afford to repair, it would be very hard to find a buyer.

I attempted to contact a real estate investment group called HomeVestors by calling thier 800 number, but it turns out that's a phone sex line.

The property originally went for 90K several years ago and is currently appraised at 65K. I know we have some real estate gurus here. Could you guys spare any advice?

No, I haven't. If you're desperate to sell, you should talk to them. I would personally not dump property as quick, since they will undoubtly gouge you...
