Like title says, what have you seen as in a car, with a small block GM or Ford V8 dropped in lately ? Seems to be all the rage in the import scene. Example: Miata, RX7, 240SX, Porsche 928, etc.....post photos, should be fun to view.:smile:

There's a few RX7 conversions around here. There was a nice 2nd Gen with a LS1 in it but it was rolled. There's a 3rd Gen in CMY color, also with an LS1. a nasty 1st gen with a clunky 302 Ford, automatic, and a redneck-looking hood scoop was beating around town a few years ago.
Remember the Dodge Conquest tsi? There's a few around here that replaced the Mitsubishi turbo powerplant with an LS1. Well done work.
also: early 90s Jaguar XJ... pulled the V12 and inserted a Chevy 350. Well done.
Saw a Triumph Spitfire with a 302 Ford and another giant hood scoop during the Woodward Cruise. Yech.
Finally, there's a Cadillac Catera that was superbly re-made into a V series. triple black, +2 wheels, V badges and vents, and oh, a Northstar V8 32 valve under the hood! One of my favorite transplants of all time.

Fiero with a LS1 mated to a NSX 5 speed gear box. If it fits in a Fiero will it fit in an NSX? Interesting...
Most Fiero owners use the NorthStar motor out of the Cadillac.
I've seen a swap into a datsun roadster.. I believe it was an LT1.
I've also seen v8 swaps into a 914... talk about power to weight!

Not very uncommon but I have a Datsun 240z with an LS1 swap I did myself.
other cool ones I've seen lately: BMW z3 with LS1, RX-8 (I like the newer RX7 swap more)

Seems like there's an LS1 in everything. Light, cheap, hearty, relatively bulletproof, and upgradeable. What else could you ask for?
So has anyone put an LSn into an NSX yet?

Both of these mount the engine longitudinally. Has anyone tried to mount to the existing transaxle in a transverse position? Is the problem the length of the LS? I cant imagine width being a problem because the NSX engine is so darn wide. Anyone have any CAD models or dimensions of a NSX chassis?
