Where are all the Production deliveries ??

This is off topic...

Where are all the Production deliveries ??...Maybe open another thread for non related discussion..

I picked up my car on Sept 2nd. Have driven around 310 miles and loving it.

Last weekend I took it to Cars and Coffee and an exotic cruise. NSX received alot of attention even among the Aventador roadster and Huracan.

LP560 looking a bit dated compared to the lines of the NSX.

Nice! Which white is that?

same thing happened when i took ours to cars and coffee.

all the ferraris looked the same. the NSX stood out and had a crowd around it all morning.

Great to see people getting their cars. There is hope after all!

Casino pearl white. My color on order. Looks great. What leather interior
. What carbon bits?

Black leather and alcantara.

I have all the carbon options.

I didn't get the XM radio or illuminated door sills and stuck with the y spoke wheels as I'm going to change them to either HRE or ADV1 soon.

Steering feel is a bit light in sport mode but stiffens up in sport+ and track modes and feels great. Acura should have made the sport+ mode the regular driving mode. I really love the steering wheel contours. It is comfortable to hold in every position.

I have not had many chances to experience the torque vectoring but on the few on ramps and corners that I have pushed it it feels like you get an extra shove into the corner. Will have to get it out on the track and figure it out.

The power delivery is amazing, the sound in the cabin is great. the build quality is top notch. Not a creak, rattle or vibration felt when hitting bumps. Every time I look at it I'm in awe of the body lines and how well the whole car flows.

Few items that bother me are the way the license plate frame has to be screwed into the bumper. I have not installed it yet. Working on a better solution that does not involve drilling. The stereo does not sound good at all but I have only listened to the radio and i'm not impressed. My F150 has a better stereo.

I'm happy overall with the car. You really can use this car everyday if you can put up with all the attention it receives.

Sounds very exciting!

Thanks for the feedback.

Regarding the license plate, I had a similar situation and used velcro from Home Depot. Held it on just fine and when I went to remove it permanently, it did not leave a mark.

3M Grip lock (like on EZ Pass) might be better than velcro.. unless that is what you really meant.

I received confirmation today that my car has been built and is in QC staging..No exact delivery info will be provided until it clears QC and is released for transport..This is a wave 1 car ( confirmed 3/21) and first allocation car..

This may be the reason that the Perf Center does not give predicted dates of mfg or delivery as the original playbook outlined. ..The QC stage ( time) could be variable from car to car. Of course this is speculation on my part...The good news is that cars are definitely being produced and shipped with greater consistency ..

The weekly update

overall production number unknown, but some days 6 cars come off the line

10 being shipped this week

Regarding poor info flow about when cars are being built, I let him know about are colleague here who has to wait a week and a half from the day the car got to the dealer to the day he takes it home. The tech is on his honeymoon. Two fails here, Acura not providing info for planning and the dealer for not sending a tech from their other store to do the PDI.

Interwoven wheel issue in Canada, based on the way people at PMC behave, no surprise that they won't let the wheels be switched from Y spoke to interwoven for an existing order. Extra intrigue, since you are not allowed to buy interwovens for a car delivered with Y spokes, the interwoven second set order may get blocked.

Quality staging term reported by a collegues here was not previously known. Cars are typically taking 11 days from line off to shipment.

Steel brakes will be available to order soon. Someone here pointed to hub parts needing to be changed besides the rotors and caliper. Reprogramming will also be needed related to different heat build up characteristics.

Something special is being planned for NSXPO

I also provided updates on what I am seeing on pricing, CNC in CA and Specialty in Utah dropped their prices, the Ferrari shop in FL has the highest priced one and the store in Princeton NJ added a more moderate $20k market adjustment on their recently received car.

I then let him know about a couple of cool videos out there, the Stradman's ride along comparo of the NSX and R8, and since the NSX specialist is a gen 1 owner, I told him about the Canadian ad with the owners group up there.

Bruce,

The sheet bumbps at the PMC wouldn't go out of their way to switch out a set of wheels for a customer. No way they would switch out the more complicated brake set up for you. Plus I said coming soon, not available to order now wrt to the steelies.

They have a big problem regarding incentives. I work in big biotech and the thematic is, do what is right for the patient. If you have something come up that gives you an opportunity to serve a patient, doing so is supported as much as possible. With Acura, they have customers who want something and the PMC folks are more likely to say scruu u, instead of how can we take care of you.

I received my build sheet today.

A couple of points that I did not realize from previous posts.

1) The build sheet is partially transparent and the sketch sits behind it. The effect when both are in the holder is that it looks like the sketch art is part of the build sheet.

2) Acura has provided NSX stationary to the dealerships. My salesperson included a nice note in the package.

You are correct Master

The look of the stationary matches the look of the holder for the build sheet and sketch

Nice touches like the real luxury brands use

Now we need some one with luxury brand experience to take control on the PMC
