Where are all the Production deliveries ??

So my order was config locked in September and I just found out that it was factory confirmed on 10/11. Anyone have insight re: how long it is taking these days to get scheduled and built? Sounds like they are now building at a rate of 6-7 per day so I'm hoping to get my car before winter really settles in...

Picked my casino white one up yesterday! Well worth the wait! Put 160 miles on it so far - what a car. Makes my 2004 seem ancient. The new one is a rocket.

Here are some pics of racer1's Casino White with my 1999 Kaiser Silver at Cars and Coffee this morning. He'll chime in with details on his car if he chooses, but i will disclose that he picked it up yesterday. It was great to meet you!

I love the flying buttress detail on the new car. Wowwwwwww.

This tiny trunk means two things: a) you won't be taking yourself or any buddies golfing. b) No grocery store runs like I can do in my 1999. Right after this Cars and Coffee, I filled my trunk with groceries and did a Sam's Club run. I love the THICK, soft carpeting inside the trunk, though. What a nice detail!

racer1--you posted while I was typing my post. Congrats again, and you are one lucky sunuvagun. Enjoy!

Picked mine up Friday night (10/14)
Haven't had much drive time due to other priorities beyond drive home and ~ yesterdays trip to and from Cafeine and Carburators in New Canaan.
All Good so far and loving it.
C&C's Facebook has a few good pix of it ( some with me in background)... and some with my Friend's (and fellow Prime member) 'Red '00 who drove down with me.
It/I was the only '17 there and it got tons of constant onlooking, questions and Kudos... particularly the color scheme!
Plus a Bazillion pix and some vids.
In hindsight I should have charged say $0.25 /pic and would have put a good dent into the cost.
Once I've had some more familiarity ( vs initial acclimation) time with it I can try to expound more... but as said above, so far IT's ALL GOOD and pretty much as hoped for plus a bit more!
And I/m thrilled with my configuration choices.

The new car is making us gen 1's look soooo old... But those who drive it know...

Is there a video of one that doesn't have the "inline 6"? I've heard the V6 versions are pretty sweet.

B&B Finally! Great News...
SN303? Noticed your video shows the engine # 303
Mine is SN142 & Engine ID#209
Looks like you are about 100 behind me. That a hundred units that may have hit the street in about a month... Sounds like things are rolling in production...
C Ya on the other side of the forum...

The # 303 in the video I included a link to refers to the serial # (previously referred to as the chassis # (i.e. the 303rd production NSX built).

I did not see the Vin # for that car. I did not see the engine #.

Changing topics, I had the most fun with mine today by far. I am getting more comfortable with getting on it some. The thing passes other cars like nuts.

I also like how the regenerative braking slows the car down when I get off the gas and reduces the amount for brake pedal use I do in traffic.

Agreed, but it could be even more aggressive on the off-throttle regen/braking to enable "one pedal" driving in slow traffic.

Also, I've noticed that the brake feel and off-throttle regen changes when the battery is full. I wish it were consistent. The whole framework/concept should be "jumping off the throttle is an indication that driver wants light braking" and the car always delivers the same level of "braking" with this behavior whether it is regen, engine braking or friction brakes.

Regen can't be consistent
Same thing happens in a Tesla at full charge. It limits the regen dramatically at full charge. You see it graphically in the dash display... Nowhere to put the energy...
I love Tesla "std" regen braking around town but do not like it in freeway traffic. I use the light setting. Of course it has probably a 10x battery Vs NSX.
With OMG CM brakes, who cares ;-)

I get that. But the brake and throttle by wire tech in the NSX allows for the car to respond consistently to consistent input (even though engine braking and/or friction brakes would need to synthesize regen drag when battery is full). Not a big deal, I agree.

In "Track" mode, where arguable consistency is most important, it is already consistent as far as I can tell.

Mine (delivered to dealer 10/10) is engine/serial # 295 & VIN 200 so if ~consistent we're seeing about 2/3's of production in the States.

Steve should take the flashlight and other tools out of his back pocket before sitting in the new NSX !

We must be getting VERY close to production of final "coverage" units, right? It seems to me that coverage units are the main source of speculative inventory that could be problematic if dealers panic and sell below MSRP. I predict that the inventory of cars available for sale will peak around the time that post-"coverage" allocation cars start to be delivered.

Once we get into a more normal and transparent production/delivery cycle, buyers will have a much more predictable trade-off between a custom car in X months or a close-to-my-excact-order inventory car available now. Buyers and sellers should respond more rationally in this environment and we should see premiums contract and speculative inventory shrink as the cars sell at lower (and eventually zero) premiums.

Today's update

Super secret info: The car will be receiving a big big big award very soon. He was not able to share which one it is.
He believes all the coverage units have been built. The highest Vin # delivered in the US was 229.
One key will to watch is when Hooman gets their second car (may have already happened).
I told him about the new owner delivery experience surveys going to spam folders.
I let him know how easy the car is to live with once you get used to its width and how well Car Play works. He asked if I was using the steering wheel controls for that and I will try that next week. I just got it up an running from the nave screen and then went back to looking at the map with Chvrches was blaring.
The tour website will go live in mid November. He will do the full tour package in November so he can talk to owners about it.
He is starting to get some positive calls (1 in 5) instead of the usual where is my car and why can't anyone tell me anything.
I asked if they are expecting and NSX vs LFA comparo and he has not heard of one coming. More comparos to the German stuff are expected.
There is a guy with 3 LFAs who is getting a new NSX and hopefully he will post about his views regarding the 2 cars.
