    driving gloves

If we graded spelling on this list a large number of posts would be deleted. Pelican is not the only source for Porsche parts. For an unusual item like this you might want to try Stoddard Porsche.

To Buy or Not To Buy: Opinion needed on salvaged 2003 NSX

Re: To Buy or Not To Buy: Opinion needed on SALVAGED 2003 NSX Good luck with the 2000. Have you considered age hardening of the aluminum as a result of the elevated temperatues? Might not be an issue in your case.

Called honda about my NSX today....Oil question.

In my 996 they use 5W-40. The factory claims the lighter oil is for startup wear and the variocam, a few years behind VTEC. The idea is that the small oil passages used to actuate the Variocam bennifit from the lighter oil. I've been using 5-30 Redline in my 91 NSX.

Class action law suit against Honda/Acura

I believe I read somewhere that today's cars odometers are pretty accurate. You could try checking your speed against a GPS speedometer.

    Autosavant.net article 060307

The author made a bit of a mistake in his terminology: 'Varioram' is the induction system changing intake length, 993, and VarioCam is on the same line as the NSX valve timing, 996. They are not the same. Of course Honda beat Porsche on both accounts. Edited 6/6: had stated 'VarioCam...

Few questions from a potential buyer

Local dealership quoted $2500 to do the clutch including parts. Local mechanic, the only one I trust in Cincinnati, said bring him my clutch of choice, $400, his beer of choice and he'd do it. Sounds good to me as I will be consuming part of his beer while watching. I don't need a clutch I...

    Help with 10mm Bolt

I believe Honda coated some of the fateners to prevent galvanic corrosion. If you are threading a steel bolt into an aluminum thread there is a bit of a corrosion issue. It wouold be increased if the area was subjected to water and/or salt. Keep your car out of the ocean

    Why you can't trust dynos

I've had the same experience in the past. If you want to see big numbers put a hot cup of coffee under the dyno's temp sensor ;-)

Re: Too tight, too white Did you ever see JV tuck hmself into an F1 car? His suit was baggy:wink:

    Starting issue...

Could be a problem with losing fuel pressure on the rail. If the pressure bleeds off over time it would be hard to start. Once started and restarted after a short time the pressure would be maintained enough to restart. I've seen this before.
