In the past, there was some speculation that when the 2017 models reached three years old and some of them at the end of their 36 month lease, prices on the used market would be well below 100K.
What happened?
It seems most asking prices are still well above $100k.
I was hoping to scoop...
I'm just hanging around trying to patiently wait till the NC1 "hard floor" gets here.
I tend to agree with Gattiman that it might be around the 70-80K mark for a clean title example.
What says the Prime brain trust? 18-24 months???
I will probably cross shop a used 2017+ NSX and the new C8.
As the 2017+ NSXs drift down in value, they will likely get close to what a nicely equipped C8 costs new. I have no idea when but hopefully soon.
I am starting to ask myself which one would I rather have.
I bet I am not the only one...
When low mile 2017 NC1s start coming off lease in the fall, I will be curious what the private party prices will be.
If a nicely optioned one can be had for 80-90K, I might be tempted.
Intercity brought my NSX from Orange County, California to Ohio without any problems.
High end car shipping is their business.
Do not try to save a few $$ and use some fly by night outfit.
I just watched the new C8 Corvette debut and I have got to believe this is going to make new NSX sales even more difficult.
Base price under 60K, 0-60 under 3 seconds, removable targa top, and a 495hp in a mid engine package.
Anyone disagree?
Maybe Chevy built what a lot of NSX fans wished...
To add another data point, I sold my 2005 Silverstone with 17,xxx miles for $100,000 in May 2017. The buyer, New Milford Motors, has been trying to sell it ever since. Last I checked, I think he was asking $128,000.
The car was so stable on the banked oval my instructor encouraged me to take my hands off the wheel while doing about 135mph. I did for about 4-5 seconds and absolutely nothing happened. The car tracked around the bank like it was on autopilot. On the road course, I treated it like a rental with...
There were 8 cars/drivers in my group. They scheduled groups in 2 hours sessions all day Saturday and Sunday. I am not sure how many groups each day but I would guess 4-5. When we walked out of the welcome center, 8 cars were sitting there and we were told to get into whichever car we wanted...
I just got home from my test drive of the new NSX at the TRC. I also attended the 2014 NSXPO when we also spent time at the TRC. Today we got to experience the car in four separate situations. 1) Standing start 1/4 mile runs with and without launch control. 2) Tight road course through cones in...
