That was one of my biggest complaints, too. It was my 5th car on my policy and still had to pay $103 / month for full coverage compared to $75 for the Corvette and $80 for the Viper.

Thanks, RedShift.....I had never heard of shill bidding until that post. I thought "bid boosting" was a generally accepted practice and never really thought about it as being fraudulent. Anyway, I caught a lotta crap that day..... :frown:

Just a note for anyone shipping cars. I priced about 10 different shipping companies on my last purchase. I went with a company called autotransportdirect.com and they were about 30% less than everyone else and had the car here in 4 days from the time I approved the quote.

That's the same scam that almost got me a long time ago. If you inquire into what Square Trade actually does, the are SETTLEMENT DISPUTE ONLY. They ARE NOT an escrow service. I spoke to a Square Trade representative and she said she gets several calls a day due to this kind of scam.

My sister-in-law had it. She was in her late twenties. It lasted a few weeks and she made a full recovery.
