I'm not marketing Facebook. If non-users want to post or PM me their issues, I can add the info for them. Here's the template. This info will be passed along to Acura, so don't give any info you don't want posted to the registry and shared with them.
In case folks aren't aware, the Facebook group is compiling a database of known issues and is working with Acura contacts to resolve all issues. The Gas tank recall (although probably not related to their efforts) is a great opportunity to get other issues (wind noise, rattled, thermostat...
Entertaining thread. This is the Golden Era of performance cars. Anyone with a 10-15 year old car that thinks the current offerings are not attractive is more nostalgic than rational. We can debate "greatest of all time, judged in the context of each car's release date." But, otherwise, the...
Here's my guess as to what Acura is thinking/doing: The big incentives serve two purposes: (i) to flush out old inventory from dealers/geographies that screwed up in ordering and pricing them wrong in the first place and (ii) in hopes of "priming the pump" / seeding the market with a few more...
Love the looks of the LC, especially in that blue! I do wish they offered a slightly more bonkers powertrain to top the range. Perhaps that's coming. I'm sure the existing LC 500 is plenty fast for what it is trying to be, however.
The NSX is about as fast as a 458. Fast enough for me.
The first taste of the future is ALWAYS a step behind (along one or more dimensions) the "optimized over decades" outgoing technology. Hypercars don't count--- I am talking about comparable price ranges. This applies to many fields of...
Not arguing that the NSX wasn't a failure (in terms of sales). It was/is. Just saying that the reasons why owners love the car (a taste of next-gen performance hybrid technology but available today for <$1M) continue to be validated....
Call me crazy, but these new hybrid hypercars make the NSX look better and better (and more and more prescient). Especially at 1/15th the price, and available now. Totally different market segment, of course, but still.
I suspect the engine rebuild will cost about as much as a base NSX. Base...
Try in Sport+ or Track mode when revs are above 5K. This is the only circumstance where shift speeds matters (WOT upshifts), and it is effectively instant. In "Sport" mode, the car is not very responsive-- and not just the slow shifting. I agree that they should tweak this in software. But...
Even when in Sport+ or Track Modes? Agree that "Sport" shift logic is lazy--- and it's shy about the EV boost also. My solution would be to allow an "Individual" mode, where you can separately specify all the parameters of the car: steering, suspension, throttle map, shift logic, exhaust...
Perhaps a benefit of living in Oklahoma? Per the owner's manual track-prep guidelines, I use Mobil 1. I think the first four oil changes are free, but they charge extra for the Mobil 1.
Here's my bill. (Concord, CA (in SF Bay Area))
