last 3 sundays in sept appear to be open all day at the ring
I might be up for this - it will mean getting some plates, MOT & Tax on the car but I'm well overdue for some quality time in the NSX and it's been more than 2 years since I drove the ring.
my personal experience with DC headers and DC exhaust when switching between python hi-flow cats and test pipes was:
noise measured at 4,500rpm at 0.5 metres from exhaust tip
with hi-flow cats = 99dB
with test pipes = 103dB
with dB measurements, every additional 6dB represents a doubling of...

LOL - there's probably 2-3 cars per household here in the UK, although this does cause major problems in the many areas of Victorian terraces built 100+ years ago, where no provision was ever made to accommodate them and there simply isn't anywhere but the narrow streets for them to get parked...

the thing to remember is that the Ring is not a racetrack - it's a public highway and all the normal rules apply.
that includes:
overtake on the left
insurance must be held
the fact that it was built as a racetrack, is still often used for racing and doesn't go anywhere over it's 14 mile...
