Lugging issues after 1 yr storage

I would find a way to get more than 1/4 tank gone before I refuel. If it's a bad fuel issue you need to get most of the fuel out to make a difference. I'm by no means an expert just speaking from experience. I'm not much for fuel additives but a water removal additive might be in order. I've...

Lugging issues after 1 yr storage

I've had the same issue with boat storage and found it to be bad gas even though I used fuel tratment. My boat would start and idle fine but had no power under heavy throttle. Just another posssibility.

    Stereo upgrade/installation questions

I mounted 2 amps in the trunk 1 mono block for the sub and 1 for the door speakers. Ran power off the jumper blocks in the engine bay. Routed power wires on drivers side to amps in the trunk and all RCA cables and speaker wire on passenger side to the speakers. I have no engine noise at all and...

    How to remove center speaker

I just replaced the original bose units. Put JBL seperates in the doors mounted on mdf cut to replace the original speakers. Replaced the sub in the passenger footwell with an 8" shallow mount Kenwood sub in a mdf box and fiberglassed to seal and deaden it. Mounted 2 amps on the trunk 1 for the...

    tach not working

My clock recently stopped working (not a mojor deal just a minor annoyance). I installed a new stereo and checked power while I had it out and it seems to be getting power fine. Today my tach stuck @ 4200 rpm and stayed there. If I tap the dash the tach will move to 9000 drop to zero but sticks...

WOW NSX is more $$$ than a Porsche!!

I had a Porsche once. Had a women I thought I loved once as well. Upgraded to an NSX (mostly stock 91) and a younger women. Both are much hotter and easier to maintain than the previous models. Life is about the choices you make though, good luck with yours!

    help with stereo

In process of finishing my stereo install, new upholstery, window lube, sound deadening... well you get the pic may as well do it all while I'm there. I used to install sound systems as a part time gig. Sounds like no power to the amp or bad ground. Make sure the ground is SOLID can't stress...

    DIY 3m carbon wrap

I recently used the 3m wrap on my interior pieces and they came out looking great. Will post pics as soon as I have a chance to finish reinstalling them, unfortunately work has taken me away from my toy for a few weeks. The wrap was fairly inexpensive considering the other option of true CF...

after market center console or cut stock console

Out of town and away from my baby for a few days but I will try and post pics by this weekend. For those interested I installed a Sony single din, JBL seperates in the doors and a slimline Kenwood 8 inch sub. Originally installed a 10 inch but it took up too much legroom so apparently that is...

after market center console or cut stock console

I just put in a single din and fiberglassed the stock unit and wrapped it (along with other interior pieces) in carbon fiber wrap. Was an inexpensive way to go and looks great. I considerd all the options including buying a new console but fournd them cost prohibitive and figured I'd never go...

    B-Pillar Removal Thoughts?

I have had mine off twice and it's not as difficult as some would make it seem. You'll need an 8 mm deep socket for the bolts on top and bottom. Buy extra nuts as you will most likely drop a few down the pillar post. Can be done without removing tons of interior trim.

    what speakers do you recommend?

Just installed JBL C608gti mkii. Around the $250 range if you shop around very crisp highs and decent bass. They can be power hungry so I am running a 600w amp didn't look to see what the specs were on your head unit but 50w per chanel should be fine. Installing a 10 inch kenwood sub in the...
