Thanks! After only driving the GTR for less than a week my initial impressions are this.
1. The car is insanely fast!
2. The transmission is clunky in first gear and reverse; but this is my first dual clutch transmission so it's something I need to get used to
3. The GTR does look like a fat pig...
Well guys I decided to keep my NSX and use it as my daily driver; but I did pull the trigger on Godzilla. Took delivery yesterday! All I can say is this damn thing is a beast! For the money it has to be the best "bargain" out there! Can't wait to see what it can really do!
Well apparently I have lost my mind again, the car is back up for sale! just today I had the transmission fluid changed out and replaced missing pins underneath the passenger and driver side wheel wells.
I had the same wheels and tire sizes on my 96 and can unequivocally say that the stock wheel and tire set up makes the NSX "float". I would upgrade from the fat-fives and go with the 16/17 set-up. If your car was 100% stock I would keep the fat-fives; but you plan on doing some modifications so...
This happened to a buddy of mine here in Houston, I believe this kind of thing happens a lot more than you think. Be careful when getting your exotic vehicles towed!

I know from personal experience the ignition switch powers a lot of the systems, and can cause the issue you are having with the car shutting off immediately after start. Has your ignition switch ever been replaced? My original had corrosion at the contact points, not bad for almost 20 year old...
Dont be scared away from the IMS bearing issue with the 996. There is a $600 bearing replacement kit, and I know a lot of 996 owners that already retro-fitted theirs, with no issues. There is a good chance if you purchase from an individual they had it done. You can pick up a 996 for a bargain...
Well as some of you know from my closed thread; I came to my senses and my car is no longer for sale. Every time I drove the car I realized why I fell in love with the car in the first place! The NSX really is an irreplaceable car! I had a solid cash offer; but just couldn't do it. I imagined...
This is a thread from my local Houston Motorcycle Forum of a member that put one of these things together. Pretty impressive!
