Vancouver. Hugabuga window kit final tour of 2015

+1 tentatively; my window fell through a few weeks ago and I just ordered the Dali 6061 thingies. I'll see if I can get it operational...

[BC] Anyone have Collectors Insurance on their NSX?

I'm also curious how you guys were able to get collector's plates. Mine is a pure stock '91 (other than swapping out the 3 dead amps) and I got flat out denied when I applied a couple of years ago. They said that it didn't qualify for any of the 3 conditions mentioned a post above. So I'm paying...

Just received my 2014 50th Anniversario Gallardo last week!

Hi everyone! I just received ownership from the dealer last week and wanted to share. I love mid-engine RWD cars like the NSX while being manual at the same time, and once I found out that this maybe the LAST manual offered by Lamborghini, and with news on the availability of a future-manual NSX...

    Strutwise is the best option

A little late for the party but I had all 4 '91 original struts redone earlier this year by Frank @ Strutwise (Surrey, BC) and now they work perfectly. He even helped me mount them back on. Well-priced and swiftly done. Two thumbs up!

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

1697 and ready to go! I picked up the car this afternoon all the while keeping my anxiety in check. Started up the car, drove it around a few times around the block and YES it responsive! I step on the gas and it goes like it should. I especially feel the acceleration while in 2nd gear from...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

OK finally got some good news: 1) Replaced the fuel pressure regulator and pressure is back to normal. Apparently the faulty regulator was causing the injectors to "over-inject" and thus caused the car to burn rich. He also mentioned something else heating up/overheating but now the temperature...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

Another update: 1) TB: Thanks to all the experience and insightful input from prime members, I brought it back to get it rechecked, and indeed it WAS off by 1 tooth. (thumbs up Warren, Redbird and Angus) The timing marks now all line up and they assured me that it is on properly now, but 100%...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

Got an update from the dealership: 0) Timing belt should be on correctly, though I haven't confirmed if they removed and re-installed it. 1) they took a look at the exhaust system and removed the muffer. They suspect condensation caused rust which caused the baffles to collapse. So after...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

Ok they gave me an update on the status of the car. They rechecked the timing marks with the 5mm pins and one the cams (?) or valves (?) was stuck closed while the other 5 were open. They re-did something to get that one open and that seemed to allow the engine to regain some power and fix...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

Ok, it's safely back at the dealer and hopefully all of its the problems get sorted out. On the way to the dealer I took it easy making sure not to rev it too high. I mentioned my concerns about the timing belt to the mechanic as well as replacing the fuel filter and thermostat. I got a Nissan...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

They test drove it and put about 60km out on the highway. The preliminary diagnostics for lack of power was trouble with the VTEC. On the 30min drive back home I was thinking "gee, this car sucks! no power at all!" It sounded noisy like a 20 year old pantera (which my dad had previously owned)...

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

I spoke with the dealer earlier this morning and they are more than happy to take a look at the timing belt to verify if it's on correctly. Angus mentioned that they should check the cam timing and the mark alignments with the 4 pin punches. I'll bring the service manual just to be sure. I...

no power, possible timing belt replacment problem?

I just got off the phone with the dealership and great news! They're willing to take it back and have a look at it. Hopefully we can get this power issue sorted out.

Restoring a "barn" '91, need some friendly advice!

Having spoke with redbird92 and WarrenW their consensus is that the car shouldn't be driven in it's current status, so I think the safest bet is to have it shipped to Vancouver instead of driving it. Once it arrives safely I'll have the luxury of time to get it back to 100% shape and speed...
