That's exactly why I just choose not to worry/care about a shop taking my NSX for a joy ride. I just assume they won't and I certainly prefer that they don't, but should it happen, I'm not going to let it bother me for more than a minute. I'll think to myself, "jerks... guess I can't trust...

Re: new sub boxes Yup, should have dropped in for a listen. :) You're correct, it is extremely subjective. I've had a lot of high-end audio systems in various vehicles (by high end I mean I spend maybe around $3-$6K on the system which could equate to low end for some of the audiophiles...

Re: new sub boxes The fit, finish, and SQ with the SWS 10" is 10X better than my old (slightly volume starved) kicker sb 8"! Not really exactly sure how to quantify it better. :D

Re: new sub boxes There are other subs besides the JL 10w6v2 that would sound much better without having to cut your carpet for this particular application.

Re: new sub boxes I also prefer the stealth look, but I read on a few places here that it actually makes a big difference from people who have similar setups. I imagine the woofer just has a harder time moving as much air while being dampened with the thick carpet and floor mat.

Re: new sub boxes FYI for anybody interested in this product. I spoke with Hrant about making custom floor mats with a speaker cutout to work with this box, and he believes that he already has the template (from the zetoolman V3). I'm going to go ahead and order a set and see how it all lines...
