With all due respect, this passage demonstrates that these are 2 very different buyers (NSX and exotics). Honda misunderstood this fact at their peril.
I was skeptical that the heavy discounts were over, but they have now cut production to 23 cars last month. I think they will let that continue for 12-24 months and then quietly stop. That should keep 2nd hand values very high...similar to 2005 Ford GT.

You guys are really cracking me up when claiming that a 200k sports car buyer gives a rat's rear about how reliable the car will be and how much they may need service. You are having trouble relating to this buyer profile...the same trouble Honda had.

Well, since the NSX is built in its own factory there isn't any way to shift the product mix to any other model. When the Ridgeline is a turd, you build more of what you can sell (Pilots). When the NSX doesn't sell fast enough to keep the line busy, you take days off.

I realize there are some hurt feelings about orders delayed by dealer markup units and dealer investment forced by Honda corporate, but it seems like those are really minor issues in the big picture.
