17/18 wheel offsets?

Looking at getting some new wheels. But have had a hard time with offsets/sizes. I see most popular sizes are 17x8/18x8.5-10.
With offsets in the 40's for front and rear.

Would a 17x8 wit a 35 offset work in the front? Is 10" wide rears too big for a NA car? Would 17x7/18x8 work?

my blitz 03 are 18x10 with a 45 in the rear. they fit very nicely. the front are 17x8 with a 41 or 42, i can't remember. they fit very nicely as well.

I have Volk racing GT-C, front 17x8" offset +41 and rear 18x9" offset +37 on all riding on cool 40..
