2004 NSX Yellow/Black....too high?

Im looking at a 2004 Rio Yellow Pearl with black interior with 8k miles and dealer maintained since it was sold new. It has all the service records and has never seen rain or an accident. My question is, is 74k too high for it? Its absolutely perfect, but I certainly dont want to get the shaft or anything. Your thoughts or comments are much appreciated.
 
If it's in the conditions you mention then 74K is not a bad price. Even though it's a lil high. BUt it's hard to find a good nsx now a day.

Think that's a little high in today's market, but it's low mileage and they're not making them anymore, so if it's the car, color, and condtion that you're wanting, don't let a little $$$ get in the way. That's the price I paid for mine when I negotiated the lease for it in 2003 (for a 2002 leftover), now 4.5 years and 35,000 miles later, (I did buy it off the lease) I feel that I got a great deal. If it's an overpayment it's probably in the neighborhood of 5-7k too much (IMHO) so negotiate, it's the national past time when it comes to buying cars, new or used. Put out the ### that you feel is fair, tell the seller that's your offer and give him the leeway of responding in a positive way. The season is over, now is the time for negotiating-R
 
I've been doing a ton of research lately because I was in the market for a 2004 or 2005. I ended up buying a perfect silver 2004 witn 19K miles on it for $61K. Since the car you're looking at has lower mileage, I think $64-67 would be a decent price. $74 is way too high.
 
I agree it is too high and should not exceed $66K unless there are some specific performance mods that not been denoted.
 
$74K is a little high. $68-70K is more in line for an 8,000-mile, 3-4 year-old NSX. Not really sure how a previous poster paid only $61K for a 19,000 mile 2004.

Thats suspisciously cheap.
 
This is a recent sales history at dealer auctions for a 2004 Nsx 6spd.
74k = Too high, unless it has some modifications
68-70k = Fair Deal
60-64k = Great Deal
Anything below I would be suspicious of history, unless it had high miles.

Look at those auction numbers- $20,000 difference in two cars with not even 30K miles separating them. And, every one of those cars has above average condition; seems strange, because typical auction results are "average"...hmmmm.

The reason is that there are so few buyers in the "new" price range, that anything less than perfect gets seriously dinged. Lease car? Worth less. Private original owner seem a little weird? Worth less. "Hammertime" custom license place? Worthless.

This, contrasted to '91s where mint examples are 30ish and beat-to-hell examples are 25k.

This is also why the "Hey! Look I got my 2003 for only $55k with 15,000 miles!" posts are very misleading -- who knows what the real story is. Where is RyanITVs wrecked LBBP 2005 these days anyway?

Some perspective.
 
I believe Im going to pass on this one and check out some more options. Id much rather have a LBBP nsx than a yellow one.....no offense to any yellow nsx owners, its just that I like the blue ones a little better.
 
Our 2004 yellow / black was listed at $72,995, with 2,813 miles. Location - South Carolina.

Dealer was very generous on our trade - probably $2,000 over "normal" trade value.
