I don't think we should laugh at the guy, he looks like a nice and older gentelemen who simply lost control. You never know, maybe it was his first time drag racing. Now, if he was saying something like "ohh yeah, I will show all of you who's the boss now" right before the burnout than that would have been a different story .

Paul according to the post on the corvette forum he was actually very experienced.

Looks like the second burnout is what got him, he didnt get off the gas quick enough when he let the brakes out. I am sure his pride was way more hurt than the car. On the bright side he did miss the vitals and damage was just cosmetic.
