it would be more financially beneficial if you sold the 02+ and purchased a 97-01.
There is a rebuild that's been on sale here on prime and eBay for years that has the backwards conversion done.
You could probably do it and make a profit trading front ends with a pre 02 owner. Your car would look better, but it would complicate things when you go to sell.
Hey guys, thanks for all the info. I actually don't own an NSX right now, but shopping for one. And I hate the fact that I keep ignoring the 02+ ones because of the front end. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but for me the popup lights define the NSX, it's humble and mysterious character that made everyone (including me) fall in love with it when it came out.

Why buy an 02. You can buy a 97-01 and it's basically the same car. Avoid the one for sale in Florida.
just have patience and wait for the right 97-01. don't ruin a rare 02+
