So I had my cam covers powder coated. I removed the oil baffle that is bolted to the underside of the covers.
When replacing them, do I have to use a sealant(Hondabond) around the edges where the screws hold it to cover? I can't see why it is needed since oil can get up there anyway and drain thru the holes provided.

I would use Honda bond from the point of helping keep everything glued in place, not too worried about the seal. So yes, I would seal it.

I went ahead and sealed and bolted it back down like it was. I guess if Acura put them there it is for a reason, and who am I to question that.
