Take CARFAX's info with an grain of salt....
I just purchased my CARFAX report so I would have a copy to email/fax to prespective buyers since I'm listing my 93 for sale.
I have a home in Texas and Florida. Since my NSX & Ferrari are highly modified and stand out (live accross the street from DFW police chief as well), I change my plates every other year from Texas-Florida-Texas etc etc.as well as drivers license.
CARFAX senses anyone registering in any other state as having an additional owner.
I bought my 93 in 94 and it thinks my NSX has had 3 other owners due to registration.
Also, I use to lease cars (NSX/Ferraris) for 2-4 years then buy them after lease is up. CARFAX counts this as another owner as well it seems...at least on my report..
I guess the reports are helpful on mileage tracking though and biggies like Salvage or stolen recovery titles.
