13.4 for a F340 (or was it a 360) that's ridicoulously slow. They run low 12s with good drivers all day long.

BTW: What's the MPG on the Suzuki.. I couldn't find it. Also, the weight of the car would seem to me that the engine would get lugged and damaged. You'd have to be at high RPMs all day long and that gets loud.

A 1000cc engine doesn't produce 180bhp unless it has been built. Stock, most hover around 140-150 on the wheel. My buddy gets in the mid to high 30's mpg on his R1, unless he's really ragging it out, then he gets in the low 20's

That looks like a blast to drive ill tell you that. And man if you crash , ammm no comment.

It depends hugely on how you ride it. If you are just cruising with a throttle lock at 70mph you can get near 50mpg. If you are going light to light you'll be in the high 20's. All supersports get similar gas mileage, with the 600's getting a little better around town.

I wouldn't worry about the motor, the motorcycle is 500lbs+ wet plus a couple hundred lbs rider. Throw in the ability to carry a 150lbs+ passenger and you aren't that far off the smart car's weight. If you ever have the chance to ride one of those things the LAST thing you'll be thinking is can the motor handle it.

DucTerry, did you mean they aren't 180whp? All the 1000cc bikes are around 180hp which corresponds to the 140-150whp you mentioned in your post. The busa's and zx14's are at 200bhp these days.

Yeah, shoulda clarified, I don't talk in crank HP. Crank HP means nothing, a ZX14 may put 200 on the crank stock but you have to completely remap it and add a full exhaust for WHP to even touch 175.

500+lbs wet?? For a liter bike?? Maybe in the early-mid 90's. Most try to stay as close to 400lbs as possible, Suzuki claims 379 dry for the '08 Gix1k.
