My front end is riddle with rock chips!
Any good autobody shops that will match the paint? (Formula Red)
(Denver area, I live in Highlands Ranch)
Also any of you ever hear of a "Sprayed on" clear bra?

Thanks.

We very stupidly parked our NSX under the wing of our airplane. The fuel dripped on it and ate through the paint. Everyone said it couldn't be touched up. I have a friend that restores old cars. He did a beautiful job. No one would even know it happened. His name is Darrell Grohskopf and can be reached at 720/982-2818. He has many years experience and has done a lot of new car warranty work.

Also, I thought he sold the exhaust system that was originally on our 1992 NSX. It has almost no miles on it. I would like to sell it for $800 if anyone out there is interested. My name is Virginia and phone number is 303/514-8283.

I don't have any good recommendations, however I would strongly urge anyone to avoid Stuttgart Auto Body.

Thanks for the heads up.
I'm looking for a good body shop that will use good materials and do a good job. I hear formula red R-77 is not the easiest to match.
I need to get my hood nose and front two fenders repainted because of 20 years of rock chips. Its all going to be paint and labor.

Wreckmasters Body and Frame, 315 South 14th St, Colorado Springs, CO, (719) 520 1184 - Jim Keeney.

I found out about this shop from my son-in-law. My son-in-law was restoring a VW camper and they did a fantastic body work and paint job, just as if the old VW came out from the showroom.

I had some ice fell on my red 1991 NSX driver's side rear fender and on the back end of the black roof one winter, put a little dent, Wreckmasters fixed it, did a very excellent job, as if it never happened. I had the NSX windshield replaced once by another body shop in Denver, but did a lousy job installing the upper weatherstrip. Asked Elite Auto Glass if they can correct it, but declined afraid during removal they might break the windshield. Wreckmasters did it, put a new weatherstrip and didin't break the glass.

Highly recommended!

Thanks Dan,
Sounds like a good shop.. The problem is that they are 1 hour south of me.

If I can't find anyone good in local area I might make the trip. I'm located in Highlands Ranch, Douglas County

You're not far from me as I live in Sedalia, over an hour drive for me too, but it's worth it. They are a small shop in an old building but I don't care, their experience and workmanship is what's important to me.

I don't know if you have already had your work done yet. Hanks Auto Body has two locations, West ( I-70 and Ward Rd. ) and South ( Kipling And Belleview ). I own a Paintless Dent Repair company and we service over 120 Body Shops in Colorado from ft Collins to Pueblo. There are some good shops and painters out there but being in the business Carl at Hanks West is THE ONLY guy i would ever put a paint gun to any vehicle I own.. I will be tearing my 91 Berlina Black down later this month and I'm having Carl paint complete.
PLEASE stay away from spray on clear bra's, if you are interested in a clear bra I can give you countless recommendations.. I don't own a vehicle without a clear bra on it.. Clear bra's are probably the best invention for defense for your paint, Headlights etc. The best thing about it is it can be removed and re applied when it starts to get beat up..
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate.. I hope this helps and if you already did get it done I hope it turned out good for you..

Try www.chipmagic.biz

I am tooting my own horn because we have done several NSX front ends AND we are the ONLY company in the country that developed a proprietary Chip Magic® Shield spray on clear bra that can also be repaired and polished.

I started this shop over ten years ago because my own NSX was repaired incorrectly by two "quality shops."

We have over 27 paint awards to our name and at a KBPI show we entered only in tuners and crotch rockets and took 4 of the eight trophies.

We are also having a show or meet and greet at the shop on April 14, 2012.

Over the past two decades, I've had all of my body work ( 4 complete & 2 partials) done at Master Collision Specialist. They are located at 2223 S. Kalamath, DEN 80223. The phone is 303.934.4080. It is a wonderful family-run operation. Wil Wilmer and his wife are great people to work with and John, their lead painter, has the best eye for color-matching I've ever seen. The shop isn't exactly cheap, but they do almost all of Stevenson's Porsche and Jaguar cars, both used and new. If I had a "barn find" NSX and it needed work, it would go straight to Wil's shop. Just make sure that you give them enough time to do it right. Have a chat with Johnny about your expectations and then make sure you treat them like good friends. The morale of the shop is excellent--and that is important. Ben

What's the name of the body shop that had the tent at NSXPO 2012, that fixed Don Gallo's car? They sure did a great job...

I saved a couple business cards. One was from the paintless dent repair guy and the other was from Exotic Bodies. I think they are the ones who worked on Don's car.

Indeed, these are the guys who rebuilt my car. Winner of Best Paint at NSXPO 2012

One caveat: Jim's motto is "you can have it done quick or you can have it done right." I'm patient...
