Honda NSX Gen 2 Wheel Paint Colour

Hi, I own a UK Honda NA2 NSX. 3.2 Litre. Circuit Blue

The previous owner painted the wheels a non standard colour.

I have been told by my local Honda Dealer that I should have them repainted:

Wheel colour / paint colour
Car: Honda NSX
Colour: Solaris silver metallic
Paint code: Nh536m
Wheel manufacturer: Aluminium asahi

Is this correct?

Thanks

Alex

It would be helpful to know what year your NA2 is.

The Solaris Silver (NH536M) wheel color was actually introduced beginning on the 1994 model year. In 1997 (first year of the 3.2L motor) Blade Silver was introduced as the wheel color. Some reference Blade Silver as a no paint, just machined and laquered finish. Other reference a paint code for Blade Silver as NH95MZ. Beginning in 2002 the wheels were finished in "BMW Silver" NH606M.

I don't think your dealer is correct. Likely either Blade Silver or BMW Silver.

Welcome Alex to NSXPrime forum

I cannot wait to see photos of your NSX.
If you recently purchased this 3.2 then I would advise to take a while. See if the wheel color grows on you. Dealer recommendation notwithstanding.
There will be plenty of time to bring them back to OEM, perhaps?
