installing laptop in my nsx

i have a 7" display in my NSX. it only has rca inputs. is there a cable that will go from vga to rca? the guy at radio shack said my video card needs to be able to handle TV out in order to convert it to rca. is this true? has anyone installed a laptop in there car? how did you do it?

You do need a video card with TV capability. It will have a RCA jack on the card.

Don't expect very good quality - text will be verry fuzzy. Movies maybe ok.

There is no VGA to RCA conversion cable.

Most notebooks do support TV out (for presentations and stuff). The connection will probably not look like an RCA connection, and will require an adapter (which probably came with your notebook). Check your notebook's documentation.

As pointed out the picture will look fuzzy, don't expect the same quality you get from your notebook screen.

If your laptop doesn't already have composite video out, then you need a scan converter.

This is the model I have and it works quite well. It works well for movies, but is too fuzzy for text.
