need help with a pre-inspection

Hi everybody,
I was wondering if anybody would mind checking out a 97' for me. Car is privately owned and in McMinnville. I'm coming down on April 26th to take a look at it myself but hoping to get it looked at by somebody who knows what they're looking for.
I called Ron Tonkin Acura and talked to a service manager there. He told me they have a general acura checklist which was way too basic for what i wanted.
Any help from one of the prime members here in Oregon or recommended place to go near McMinnville would be great.
Send me an email if you can do it. Owner is a great guy but says he's rarely on this site.

If the ervice manager RTA is willing to conduct the PPI, you have him utilize the NSXPrime checklist in the Wiki.

You never know, he want to incorporate our checklist to update his.

Great idea. I just found that forum thread yesterday too. Didn't connect it to letting RTA use it for the inspection though. See, many heads are better than 1!

Hope it all goes well end of this month, and then i can lay claim to owning one.

Thanks for the offer Harpoon! I haven't come back to the site to check lately so my response is a little tardy. I came down to Portland last week and checked her over and had Ron Tonkin Acura do a PPI for me. All is good and i bought her this week!
Looking forward to coming down this Monday, May 7th to driver her back!

Hi,

No, i didn't give him the checklist although i mentioned to him there was a really good detailed checklist on the prime website. The mechanic who did the PPI on the NSX had a 91 a while ago before he sold it and was familiar with them. His name was Clarence and he is the Ron Tonkin NSX specialist there. He did a good job looking over the car and i got a pretty good report from him. I had asked him to check over some areas i marked off from this checklist.
The car was originally sold from this dealership and maintained there throughout the second owner's history too. The dealership provided me with all the service history they had on the car for my records. All in all, I felt comfortable in buying the car after the inspection.
